the award-winning cocktail bar is located on the ground floor of the 5-storey building and offers an eclectic range of superbly-made cocktails. the owner, chris edwardes has managed many renowned bars, restaurants and clubs in london, including the groucho club, the pharmacy, as well as opening the jazz cafe, the atlantic bar and grill, and the ge club for conran. his cocktail skills have been described as 'legendary' by those in the know and after more than 30 years in the business chris was awarded with the theme magazine lifetime achievement award in 2007 for outstanding contribution to the industry

the bar at blanch house was one of the four finalists for best bar in britain at the class awards (the bartenders bible), winners of best bar team as well as winner of best cocktail offering in the uk and best customer service in the uk. the bar is open to the public and open later for the hotel residents.

the bar is open to the public 7 nights a week until 12am (2am on fridays and saturdays), and later for hotel residents and their guests.

kyle gibson

we have had the pleasure of working with kyle over the last year at blanch house. he is a very career focused young man, always trying to increase his knowledge and skill within the bar industry. kyle is always keen to take part in any cocktail making competitions and has reached various regional/national finals including 'free pour 2008' and 'liquid war 2008'.

"i've been mixing drinks for about 6 years now in various guises, in bars, hotels, boats. i feel as if i've reached the top of the game in moving to blanch house, which i regard as the best cocktail bar outside of london in the uk/universe. unlike matt i like to shake drinks so we make quite the team! just don't tell me you don't do tequila...".
